You can automatically connect your GoDaddy, Google, or other domain to your Shopify store. If the domain doesn’t connect automatically, you can connect it manually.
In the Sign-in window, sign in to your GoDaddy, Google, or ADONOS account.
If you have trouble setting up your domain automatically, try setting it up manually from your third-party provider’s control panel. If you contact an external technical service, you should know what to tell your external provider.

Log into the account you have with your domain provider.
Locate your DNS settings. Find your domain’s administration area, DNS settings, or a similar function.
Locate the CNAME record in your DNS settings.
Change the CNAME record for your subdomain to point to shops.myshopify.com Copy. For example, if you want your shop.kmiths-apparel.com subdomain to point to your Shopify store, change the CNAME shop record to point to shops.myshopify.com Copy:
Save the CNAME record (usually by clicking Save or Add Record or similar action).
From your Shopify dashboard, click Online Store and then click Domains.

Enter your subdomain in the text field (for example, shop.kmiths-apparel.com).
Click Verify Connection in your Shopify admin to confirm that your custom domain has connected to your store.
Set up your existing domain to connect to Shopify
If you purchased your domain through a third party, you must edit the following DNS settings:
Your A record should point to Shopify’s IP address, which is 220.127.116.11 Copy
Your www CNAME record should point to shops.myshopify.com Copy
Editing these domain settings could affect other aspects such as email forwarding. You can contact your domain provider to find out how the changes might affect your DNS settings.
Some domain providers, such as Hover, GoDaddy, Google, and 1 & ADONOS, automatically configure your domains in different ways.
Log into the account you have with your domain provider.
Locate your DNS settings. Find your domain’s administration area, DNS settings, or a similar function.
Edit your domain’s A record to point to Shopify’s IP address: 18.104.22.168 Copy
The domain settings panel may include drop-down menus or editable fields, or you may need to check boxes or edit a table. You need:
Enter or select the @ symbol or A record – Enter the IP address of Shopify 22.214.171.124 Copy as the destination of the A record.
Save the A record (click Save, Save Zone File, Add Record, or similar).
Locate the CNAME record in your DNS settings.
Change your www CNAME record to point to shops.myshopify.com Copy. Many times you have to enter just the prefix without the period, but for some domain providers, you need the entire subdomain.
Use existing entries as a guide or follow your provider’s instructions. CNAME records should always point to a domain name, never to an IP address.
Save the CNAME record (usually by clicking Save or Add Record or similar action).
